Christmas in NYC sounds nice but it’s actually a nightmare. Little snow, still cold as fuck, and if you thought tourists/New Yorkers were mean, just try throwing Christmastime anxiety on top. Fall is way better.

In my opinion NYC is best during the spring or fall time, not as crowded and the weather is much more tolerable to walk around. And in Italy be weary about traveling in August because most of Italy is closed due to ferragosto/ many Italians traveling out of the country. August is definitely great in southern Italy but if you’re looking to go Rome or north it would be better in the spring time
