@leonardolewismedia: Banks are now officially choosing XRP and Ripple over SWIFT... One of the largest banks in Korea just replaced SWIFT for Ripple. And it's Ripple's THIRD Korean financial institution this year... With Ripple's platforms touching 16 TRILLION in transactions last year, which backs up my tokenization thesis as its playing out in real time... which is exactly why I'm accumulating XRP and #XST heading into this bull run as they're the leaders in the biggest current crypto sectors - Payments & Ai Infrastructure.
My view is that XRP is a credible but speculative investment, rather than the inevitable replacement for SWIFT. Ripple/XRP has genuine advantages: the XRP Ledger can settle globally in seconds and XRP can act as a bridge between currencies, potentially reducing the need for banks to hold large pools of money around the world. However, SWIFT has responded aggressively and now has its own blockchain-based infrastructure, with major global banks preparing to use tokenised deposits for 24/7 cross-border payments. This means banks may be able to achieve many of XRP’s benefits without owning or using XRP, while stablecoins such as RLUSD provide another competing solution; indeed Ripple itself supports both XRP and stablecoins for payments. So I wouldn’t invest on the popular theory that “XRP will replace SWIFT”; the stronger investment case is that XRP could become one of several important global liquidity and settlement assets alongside SWIFT, stablecoins and tokenised bank money. If substantial banks eventually start settling very large real-world payment volumes specifically through XRP, that would make me considerably more bullish.
