@mrmbb333: The storms we were watching yesterday turned violent. Tornadoes touched down in Delaware and New York — including one that started as a waterspout off Long Island before coming ashore at Atlantic Beach. In Dover, another tornado damaged buildings, ripped apart sections of roofs and brought down trees and power lines. Then came the flooding. In Jersey City, 69 PEOPLE had to be rescued after floodwaters trapped vehicles. In Queens, flooding became so severe that both directions of the Long Island Expressway were shut down. Tornadoes. Flash flooding. Water rescues. All from the same system that swept across one of the most populated parts of the country.
