But there’s an important distinction for women’s football fans: UEFA remains the only confederation threatening to boycott FIFA competitions. That means European national teams — including England Women and the Lionesses — remain the ones potentially at risk of missing FIFA tournament football, including the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, if the UEFA and FIFA crisis isn’t resolved.
