@mediummichelemaguire: America Ferrera’s monologue in the Barbie movie hits me SO hard. So many women were taught, in one way or another, to make themselves smaller and be everything for everyone. Be easier, but you’re expected to do difficult things. Be more understanding, but you’re not allowed to give understanding to yourself. Don’t ask for too much, but you’re expected to give everything to everyone else. Give him another chance, but God forbid he gives you grace. Be patient, but don’t expect patience from others. Don’t be difficult, but society makes everything impossible for you. Maybe you’re expecting too much, while everyone’s expectations of you are impossible to meet. Because of this, when a relationship isn’t giving you what you need, it’s incredibly easy to turn the question inward: Maybe I’m the problem. Maybe I need to communicate better. Maybe I need to be more patient. Maybe I need to stop being so sensitive. Maybe I should just appreciate what I have. And this is where it gets really complicated. Because your own relationship patterns can become part of the reason you’re staying stuck - and you probably don’t even see them. You can know something isn’t working and still find yourself defending it. You can recognize that your needs aren’t being met and still convince yourself you’re asking for too much. You can feel in your gut that something is wrong and still talk yourself out of what you know. And eventually, you stop trusting your own intuition. That’s when “Should I stay or should I go?” becomes an endless loop. This doesn’t mean the relationship is automatically wrong. It means you need to be able to see both sides of the equation - what’s happening in the relationship and the patterns you bring into it - before you can make a decision you actually trust. That’s exactly what my Free Relationship Clarity Assessment is designed to help you uncover. Take the quiz and find out what’s influencing the way you’re seeing your relationship. ➡️ Comment below or DM me the word QUIZ and I’ll send you the 🔗 #datingafterdivorce #stayorgo #relationshipadviceforwomen #relationshipissues #relationshipcoaching
