At that level, stuff like this is well within the realm of possibility, not because it is easy but because these are the giants of fighting games. Justin merely took a calculated risk during a critical moment and did his super, assuming it'd be the safest and most efficient route to a win. And for all intents and purposes, it wasn't a bad assessment. Any other option is way riskier. The longer the round went on, the more chances Daigo had to come back. So he did what he thought would give him the best shot at winning. And failed. Daigo was simply better. That's all there was to it. Maybe Justin could've won if he was more confident in himself and didn't go for the safe option. But this is what ultimately separates fighting game pros from fighting game champions. How badly do you want to win?
