Cruising was disgusting for us, but swinging and wife swapping became popular. They wouldnt watch Queer as Folk because it was offensive and vulgar but love heated rivalry. Our bars were gross and inappropriate, but when the gaggle of a bridal show up, it was a safe space. I could go on and on about how much they took from us and made it "popular."
