Had the wildest thing happen last night. We're in a huge drought here, no rain in 70 days, temps over 100 daily. I'm camping in a small camper rn, out in the middle of nowhere. 30 miles from anything. Heard what sounded like a huge explosion very nearby at 3am. I felt the shockwave of sound from it roll up on me and went through the camper. Seriously thought we just got bombed, it sounded exactly like thunder, but with a tangible shockwave you could feel. It broke half my dishes in the cabinet. Then my windows light up. Thought it was lightening. Went outside, not a cloud in the sky. It reminded me of those mushroom type explosions you see in the movies. Never felt anything like it in my 50 years of life. Almost like something slammed into our universe. No other explanation.

I literally thought I was losing my mind last night. Emotions all over the place. It’s getting old. I haven’t slept in a month. I sometimes manage a few hours of sleep after 5 a.m. but only 15 minutes here and there during the night. Not batting 1000 these days. Patience is thin etc.
