When Purpose Meets Preparation... Incredible Things Happen. Last week, I had the honor of serving as a featured session speaker at the 2026 HBCU Entrepreneurship Empowerment Summit, where I presented "AI Technology in Grant Writing: Pros and Cons." Walking into a room filled with engaged educators, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, grant professionals, and changemakers was both humbling and energizing. The thoughtful questions, meaningful conversations, and genuine curiosity reminded me why I love sharing knowledge. My biggest takeaway for the audience. Artificial Intelligence isn't here to replace grant professionals it is here to strengthen our work when used ethically, strategically, and responsibly. The future belongs to professionals who know how to combine technology with critical thinking, storytelling, compliance, and the human relationships that funding truly depends on. As someone who has spent more than two decades helping organizations secure funding and build sustainable programs, it was rewarding to see so many attendees eager to embrace innovation while protecting the integrity of the grant writing profession. Thank you to the conference organizers for the opportunity to share my expertise and to every person who attended, asked questions, exchanged ideas, and continued the conversation after the session. Your engagement made this experience unforgettable. Receiving the Speaker Badge of Recognition was an appreciated reminder that when we share what we know, we create opportunities for others to grow.
