ʿAbdullah ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنهما said:
“We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when a Bedouin came towards him. When he approached, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him:
‘Where are you going?’
He said, ‘To my family.’
The Prophet ﷺ said:
‘Would you like some good?’
He said, ‘What is it?’
The Prophet ﷺ said:
‘That you testify that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.’
The Bedouin said, ‘And who will testify to what you are saying?’
The Prophet ﷺ said:
‘This tree.’
So he called the tree, which was on the side of the valley. It came towards him, dragging its roots through the ground, until it stood before him.
The Prophet ﷺ asked it to testify three times, and it testified three times that he was as he had said. Then it returned to where it had grown.”
