I moved twice in first grade, three times in fifth, then twice in high school. I remember my kindergarten teacher dearly, but I can’t recall her name. She was very kind to me, kinda like Miss Honey in Matilda, and I would pick her flowers during recess. Saw her at a laundromat a few years later and she remembered my name. I remember my 4th grade teacher Miss Nelson. She lived in my neighborhood and loved the color purple. Very expressive woman and loved using Big Macs as an example. Our first classroom was in a trailer that was slanted, which I recall because Miss Nelson put a pen on the ground and we all watched it roll towards gravity. We had a spelling bee and I lost to the word “suggest”. My grades weren’t stellar that year and I blamed it on her, which my dad later found out I lied. Miss Nelson called me out in class for lying. We later moved into the new school after its construction. Because I never spoke up in class but loved to gossip, she put my desk in a corner by a bookshelf by myself. I loved it. I later found out she passed of cancer. Sixth grade homeroom that I cannot remember the name of was a lady that had a sharp tone and raspy voice. She taught history, my least favorite subject. I found myself sitting in a corner far away from her desk and would draw the class away sketching fantasy characters and weapons and color away the dullness of history. My first impression of her was she couldn’t pronounce “tang” and it embarrassed me for some reason. Miss Richard’s was my middle school music teacher. She taught us how to play the recorder. She was and still is very quirky in her ways. She would occasionally visit my family’s restaurant. I used to think it’s cool when teachers would grace their presence at China Wok. She loves music and you can tell. She later went on Jeopardy. We are friends on Pokémon Go and Facebook where she still shares hilarious music teacher moments. High school had many notable teachers. Mrs Crawford, or simply Crawf, was my high school dance teacher. She loved to teach and believed that I had a lot of natural talent, even though I had just started my dance training. She taught me the basics of dance and allowed me to fall in-
