They were not in love. They had a rare, purely 'sibling' relationship for Targaryens. There is no concrete evidence whatsoever that they were in love. Besides, Naerys just wanted to become a septa; I don't think she was looking for romance. And the rumor that Daeron was Naerys and Aemon's child is just a rumor. Naerys was a deeply devout person, and Aemon was a knight true to his vows. Is a genuine sibling bond between two Targaryens really that unbelievable to you guys?
