![#KIPCHAK Being born in nomads: Our hero was born in the first half of the 11th century in the eastern steppes of Desht-i-Kipchak (between Altai and Volga). His family belonged to an influential noble clan. [1] Childhood and education: From an early age, he learned to ride, shoot arrows on horseback, and wield a saber. In the harsh conditions of nomadic life, he grew up to be a professional warrior.
