My husband is my favorite person but I think I often treat him as my safest person. Which means I unload on him, I show him my worst moments. I can be snappy and I think it’s because I mask all day every day at work because I’m an introvert with an extroverted job and I have to be “yes sir, yes ma’am” all damn day that when I’m at home… I’m just exhausted and it’s not fair to him that I do that but we both do it knowing we aren’t going anywhere. There’s gotta be more to life though. I keep saying this… there’s gotta be more to life than waking up, going to work to make just enough money to afford your life, cleaning, cooking dinner, and sleeping…. Rinse and repeat. There has to be more.

And that’s true if you don’t pick a narcissist who has loved bombed acted like they cared ,and that went on for two years , good marrage and then I had my first child and after then it went downhill ,narcissistic, abuse, cheating for him having a baby outside the family with my best friend ,and he was my favorite person we got along well we grew up together that doesn’t always work that way sorry .I could give you more horror stories ,so that doesn’t work that way, saying it and even believing it ,doesn’t make it so

Anyone can drop a heavy title like "best friend" or "favorite person," but if their actions don't back up the words, it's just cheap dialogue. A title means absolutely nothing without the treatment to match it: Actions Over Labels: Real best friends protect your feelings, respect your boundaries, and show up with loyalty and consideration. If the day-to-day dynamic is full of tension, neglect, or disrespect, calling someone a "best friend" is just empty packaging.
