If you call and explain they usually wave the fee. They will note it though so if it happens often they won’t wave the fee again.

Oh my goodness. Call and tell them that you honestly forgot, and ask if they can remove that as a one time courtesy, especially if you have paid on time consistently. Point that out too. It will be okay.

late charges generally aren't that high. but if you were pending disconnection or actually disconnected, the additional deposit can absolutely be that high. it's $200 where I am. I forgot to pay my bill last August and got disconnected for all of 3 minutes. the following month, an additional $200 was tacked on to my bill.

Mine was $590. They said if it’s late it says in the small print that they have the right to add a late fee and deposit. I was 4 hours later. It was due on the 5th but I didn’t get paid until the 6th.
