@ayansoulaanigoddess: A much similar conversation I had with my mother Stella Taylor as an adult as to why she didn’t protect me as a child instead of dismissing me after I went to her about what her teenage son Adrian McClarty was doing to me. All of the “I loves you’s” is bs and her seeking attention to pretend to be a well fit mother throughout these years when she never was one. Us survivors get asked questions “why didn’t you say anything?” Most of us did but families chose to “let it go” and “sweep it under the rug” so they can pretend everything is perfect within that family. They want to protect their image. As a child, I had no choice but as an adult, I live to expose all of the abusers in my immediate family. Families of survivors rather protect that abusive family member than the one who needed protection the most. Our parents tries to be indenial about the abuse by dismissing us or not believing us because it’ll show where they failed as a parent. They’ll say things like “you shouldn’t be posting that” or “Are you sure it happened?” or “Let it go it was a one time thing” but most of those abusers goes on to abuse someone else whether if it’s another child or an adult.. which my brother did. We live in a world where the predator is protected over the victim including in the court of the law. Sad but it’s the truth. Most children gets SA’d due to their parents. I can’t speak for anybody else, but I know I had to share a room with that teenage boy who never been right in the head and they knew that and still chose to leave me alone with that teenage boy. I don’t care about any images because abusive family members need to be exposed.. They’ll call the victim difficult because that victim is no longer in a position to protect them. Then wonder why we choose to cut them off permanently when we finally reach our awakening.
