@wtrb_adventure: A 900-year-old chapel sitting on top of the Jurassic Coast… and the walk to it might be just as good as the destination. From Renscombe, the route takes you above Chapman’s Pool and along one of the best stretches of coastline we’ve walked in Dorset. There are huge sea views, ridiculous cliffs… and one particularly horrible set of steps that takes you all the way down into the valley before immediately making you climb straight back out again. But eventually you reach St Aldhelm’s Head — and tucked beside the coastguard station is this tiny stone chapel that’s been standing here for around 900 years. Definitely one where you earn the view. 📍 St Aldhelm’s Chapel, Dorset 🚗 Car Park: Renscombe Car Park 💷 Parking: Free ⚠️ Height barrier: 2.1m 💷 Chapel: Free to visit 🥾 Route: South West Coast Path — expect steep steps Save it for your Jurassic Coast list. #StAldhelmsChapel #adventure #JurassicCoast #Dorset #adventurecouple #SouthWestCoastPath #WhereTheRoadBends
