I think people who thinks it’s a z doesn’t know how to write in cursive or they didn’t grow up in a place where cursive writing is implied.

My problem with it is that is too rounded and handwritten style but so digital… that my brain rejects it. I think the best way to put it is that it gives me a bit of an uncanny valley feeling. I don’t mind the r, but I hate the n, the a's and the g 😹

I honestly love the new logo, my only problem is the ‘r’, I feel they could have still worked on it to be a recognizable ‘r’ while still blending with the overall style because very honestly, if it were a startup brand, no one, absolutely no one would read it as Instagram with an ‘r’
