Trump has normalized such a high level of dysfunction around himself that people have lost their baseline for what should trigger alarm. If this were any serious organization, those letters would set off every HR, legal, security and risk-management alarm in the building. The response would be more boundaries, less access. Trump did the opposite. That’s why the central question isn’t what is wrong with Natalie Harp. It’s what is wrong with the judgment of the man in charge who saw all of this and continued to reward it.
