Roland I believe didn’t even have the gloves for a year, rien was actually the one who had decades to master furiso remember rien’s been doing this longer than ryoshu’s been alive. And she’s been alive for 27 years. Meaning he had three decades to master furiso while Roland had like a year at most.

If you’re talking about pre library Roland then maybe Rien has a chance since he’s star of the city level both of them ARE pretty skilled with weapons since Rien doesn’t even know which weapons he’s going to get yet he still manages to fight like an expert, for Roland he has range advantage because of atelier logic, though the whip is kinda there, Roland still takes the win here tbh
