What to do if you come down with a cold/flu while travelling in Japan 🤧 Getting sick on vacation isn’t ideal but it can happen (especially if you are regularly using public transportation during flu season). As someone who has been sick a fair few times in Japan, here is what I recommend. 😴First REST! Walking 20,000 steps a day to sightsee is not going to make you feel better. Rest up so you can get better faster and enjoy the rest of your trip. 😷Secondly, if you do have to go outdoors, wear a mask, especially if you’re going to popular public areas or using public transportation. The Japanese are very big on masking up when sick, showing a level of courtesy and civic responsibility. 💊Thirdly, head to the pharmacy for some medication. There is a tonne of medication aimed for cold/flus, but we recommend the below brands: 1⃣パブロンゴールドA (Paburon Gold A) 2⃣Contac EX 3⃣ルルアタックEX (Lulu Attack EX) 4⃣プレコール (Precol Extended Release Capsules) 🥵If you have a fever, there are also cooling gel bands to place on your head. Japan also has a number of vitamin drinks and jelly pouches, like the Chocola BB you see in the video. ‼Please note: We are not medical professionals. Please do your own research before taking any medication you are unsure with. Apps like Payke and Google Translate can help you better understand what you are buying. Please follow all recommended guidelines. The above medications are not to be taken all together at once, they are simply different options. #japantravel #sickinjapan #japanpharmacy #japantraveltips #japanmedicine
