I get real tired of the "work harder, budget better" rhetoric. Bought my first house with an entry level job. That same job doesn't even rent a 1 bdrm apt today. Our kids are not living in the same world we grew up in.

It’s so refreshing seeing someone your age acknowledge our struggles. We’re always looked at as if we’re “lazy” and don’t want to work but the reality of it is, WE ARE TIRED. no matter how much we work or where, it’ll never be enough with inflation.

When I was their age rent was $250- $425 tops with utilities included. $100-250 food and bills. Making $1200-1400 a month. Used car $600-$2000. Still could save. It's different for them now with prices.
