I really don’t understand how these women need days to plan for a day. Guess what? Make a list of what you need, the night before take said list, gather the items, and pack them up. Ready to go the next morning! Takes all of an hour! I pack our stuff so often that it’s just second nature now. I don’t even have to think. Just do.

You can go to a water park with absolutely nothing not even a swimsuit, they will sell everything there who gives a shit if you forget one or two things it's not a huge deal

The obvious rebuttal from working fathers is to describe their working day in such micro terminology: getting out of the car, walking from the car park to the front door, using your work key to let yourself in… etc etc. Can be done for any task or lifestyle on the planet. It doesn’t really help anyone in any way other than cognitive behavioural therapy themselves but with the opposite effect: change your thoughts about your actions to make you a more miserable person

Wow. How do I…. How do I explain to someone this concept? Because if you told me “hey tomorrow we are flying out to xyz” I could very easily get me and my kid ready for that. And if I forget something? I can adapt or buy it what I need there. Easy.

Love the first line “do you know how much parking is?” Who cares, take your wallet, most parking is now either pay by phone/card which you will have both, if it’s cash only, drive to a local atm, draw some money, buy a bottle of water. Now you have change and you’re at best 15 mins behind schedule

I took my daughter and niece to Sesame Place staying over night in a hotel so we could enjoy the whole park. A change of clothes and jammies, hygiene stuff. we ate breakfast at a diner, ran the park, bought lunch there, ran the park and went to hotel. repeat the 2nd day but went home at days end. Not a snack or water bottle in sight. we had a blast and they kids still think about it. As a single Mom I must've missed the class on "mental overload" so, did I fail motherhood?

I take less than a week to plan and pack for an international family vacation. I do all logistics and we always have a great time. How does an afternoon at the water park 20 mins away take more effort than that?

my disabled daughter went swimming with her step grandmother heres how the conversation went. SG: do you want me to take daughter swimming Me: sure when SG: tuesday Me: No problem she took a swimsuit, 2x reusable incontinence swimming nappy 2 sets of clothes, done evene with her severe disabilities took less than 5 minutes to plan 10 minutes to pack simply due to the spare clothes
