I'm from Napoli and when i read the books i was 26 y.o. more or less i guess. I was so curious about it, my uncle borrowed the books to my parents and they were completely captured by the story and they read all the books very fast. My mom said "it's a story from our times I'm not sure you can appreciate it" ...but same happened for me. One of the best stories ever written. No matter how old you are, where you are from, this story is an universal human experience that can completely change you.
