In Australia, I paid with cash at Aldi at 8:57pm when Aldi closes at 9:00pm. Guy said sorry I already closed the register, I said too bad here's $40, were all in a rush not just you, and left (it was $37, so that's extra.) Not joking, officer tracked me down when I was in the parking lot with my girlfriend - only time they have ever responded to anything fast - and made me come back up stairs and exchange the alcohol for the $40. I did a GIPA request for the footage of that nonsense and it was denied for national security reasons. This is a real story lol. Thank God I left NSW. Anyway, this guy isn't that unreasonable within that context - Police insert themselves in non-police matters constantly why is it wrong for him to call 911 about Tesco?

When I owned my non-alcoholic bottle shop in Sydney you would not believe the abuse and complaints I had for selling NA drinks especially the Gordon’s, Heineken etc. people would literally come into my store just to abuse me.
