The joke is intentionally crass, I kinda think the purpose of it was to laugh at how absurdly rude this would be to believe, like most edgy humor that's not made with pure hatred. I also do think its hitting at something just not placing the blame on a reasonable target. The problem is more that people who have no desire to learn but all the desire to talk are running the internet. To use a term I'm pretending to not have just learned, we need less misologists on the internet.
