@whitetailhill: "If you can?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes." -Mark 9:23 Everything is possible for one who believes. Not some things, not the reasonable things, not the things that make sense on paper. Everything. Belief that actually means something gets tested. It shows up not when everything is going well but when the outcome is uncertain and you have to decide whether you trust God anyway. That's the belief this verse is talking about. Not a casual acknowledgment that God exists but a knowing. A deep settled conviction that he is who he says he is and will do what he says he will do. Anyone who has spent time in the field knows that you don't release the arrow until you know the shot is there. That knowing changes everything. Faith works the same way. Not hoping it might work out, but knowing who you believe in and being all in because of it. Prayer: Lord, grow our faith to the point where we take you at your word completely and trust you with everything we cannot see or control. Amen.
