As a new mom let me tell you your ambition only gets higher (at least for me) post kids. Aka I’m signed up for a Hyrox and marathon while doing a PhD and working a 9-5 😂

Mom here: that's why it's important to use the energy you have now to advocate for our healthcare as mothers. WE NEED ADVOCATES

As a first time mom, your ambition will continue, but it will look different. I had some much appreciation for my career after my maternity leave. I came back to work refreshed and knowing I wanted to continue climbing that ladder so much so that I quit and got a promotion elsewhere. The difference is that I do my best to get everything done and in a good place between 9-5 because everything before 9 and after 5 is now family time, and me time (sleep is necessary!). Before having my daughter I used to work all types of hours, but also because I wasn’t being efficient within my 9-5. I used to like working at 6am, and sometimes I preferred to bang out assignments on my couch at 9pm. So you may find yourself setting boundaries with work, but in a way that allows you to be present at work and home.

I think content will look different. For their safety it's best to keep them off the internet and protect their identity. You also get into a weird territory of consent if you do end up filming them or let others. Lots of things to think about, for now enjoy being present and the lifestyle you have, best of luck Nadya! 💪

As a current mom who is in college and is highly ambitious I’d love to see your take on trying to balance both of these things that people tend to say can’t coexist.

my mum used to work at nights for years and it slowly ruined her health. its better to work during daytime unless there is no other choice.

do not make children to be a burden!! they are not! that's why you have a husband as well! you support each other. if single mums can do it, everyone can do it then!
