@bashifuirkashi: Most people say they’re building AI agents. But a production agent is more than an LLM connected to a prompt. It needs a clear pattern for how it reasons, makes decisions, uses tools, and completes work. Here are 5 agentic design patterns every AI engineer should understand: 1️⃣ Tool Use / ReAct The agent reasons, chooses a tool, observes the result, and decides what to do next. 2️⃣ Planning The agent breaks a large goal into smaller, executable steps before completing the task. 3️⃣ Reflection / Critic The agent generates an output, evaluates it, identifies weaknesses, and improves it. 4️⃣ Routing The system classifies the request and sends it to the correct model, tool, workflow, or specialist agent. 5️⃣ Multi-Agent Multiple specialized agents divide the work, collaborate, review outputs, and combine the results. You do not need five agents for every problem. The goal is to choose the simplest pattern that can reliably complete the task.
