Replying to @nikki4956 my 3-step routine for recurrent BV or yeast infections involving biofilms⬇️ Step 1: Disrupt the biofilm using either lactic acid, boric acid, or an NAC supplement. My personal favorite is the Good Clean Love lactic acid gel. Focus on this step alone for 7-10 nights before starting medication. Step 2: Begin your antibiotics or antifungal medication. PLEASE confirm what infection you actually have with your physician so you can receive the correct treatment. During this stage, you can also begin oral probiotics like With Meraki Co probiotics to help support restoration of the microbiome. Step 3: Restore and maintain protective bacteria. I personally recommend using only 2 probiotic suppositories intravaginally total, typically one capsule weekly for two weeks, and then maintaining long term with oral probiotics. Do not overuse vaginally inserted probiotics because too much Lactobacillus can potentially trigger cytolytic vaginosis (CV).
