The issue is not about the police, the people recording will be recording evidence that'll be used against themselves because they break the laws and when the police gets them, they pay bribe, come and complain.

He didn't mention the exception. You can record police in public as long as you don't obstruct, don't enter restricted areas, don't compromise security, and don't share footage to mock or harass.

If this is a new system they want to create why don't they start it as a subject in schools so that by the time they complete school, they will be aware of it. Today someone will come and say this, tomorrow another will say that why. If they are urging vehicle users to record police officer that engage them then the government too should also equipe every police personnel with a body camera because someone civilians can also edit their recordings just to put the personels into trouble.
