I had to call neighbors/friends TWICE to literally break into my house and check that my child was ok when I was out of town and my husband wasn't answering his phone. After that I stopped going out of town with friends/family without my kids. Eventually I stopped doing anything that involved leaving the kids alone with my (now) ex. That's how it starts. "It was fine and it won't happen again"

girl...this happened...the toddler fell down the stairs and the mom was setting off alarm all though the house...she didnt wake up until the police arrived...child still crying btw
