I've been "under" a whole bunch of times - mostly orthopedics. I ALWAYS have the chat with my anesthesia team regarding my history. IMHO they are the star of the show. The surgeon is just the mechanic. 😂

There is also the chemo anti-nausea drug Emend. That’s the only thing that works for me

Had surgery 3 times. All outpatient. All was rushed to ER before making it home. Now. We know. Tell the team I suffer from day to day extreme motion sickness. Female. Non smoker, I can’t even look at swings without puking let alone sit on a swing. Once the nausea starts it’s extreme like a movie scene. Totally scarier than surgery each time. Now I’m very loud about it, had emergency foot surgery, told them in detail about my prior issues and no sickness this time.

My daughter reacts severely to anesthesia with hours of nausea and vomiting, despite scopolamine patches, anti-nausea medications.

i have all the risk factors and they gave me 3 or 4 meds and I was still very nauseous 🥺 but at least I did not vomit

I’ve had surgery twice thank god I didn’t get sick after. The elbow surgery was a long one and was not fun when I woke up.

I fit all 4 and am nauseous after every single procedure I get done with anesthesia. I frequently get pain injections with twilight sedation and I have had 2 general anesthesia procedures. I’m miserable every time no matter what they do!

What if you don’t know especially if it’s your first major surgery?? I mean I only get car sick if someone else is driving and depends on the car too 🤔 well I’m definitely a female and non smoker 😂 yikes 😬 I don’t want any of it

when I was 14 I had my appendix removed, they struggled to wake me up. when they did they made me stand up and I vomited bright green over everyone 🤣 the nurse said...why didnt you tell us your allergic to anastasia 🤣

As a child they used gas on me for an adenoid/tonsil removal and I threw up so much after that I had to stay overnight in the hospital. I’ve had two other surgeries since then as an adult and I just asked them not to use gas and I didn’t get sick.
