My district is forbidding suspension for K-2nd, we also can’t take away recess. Yet, my student can punch me and throw chairs with 0 consequences 🤦🏻♀️

I taught at a school where teachers weren't allowed to write a student up per the office. Instead we were to fill out a Google form and they decided if it was a write up. It was to keep write ups low. 🙄

I don’t understand why admin can’t discuss collectively with their bosses about how restorative justice doesn’t work and in extreme cases suspension’s are necessary for safety 🤷🏽♀️💯
