He is probably really disregulated and overwhelmed from being verbally abused by his father. Sometimes it’s ok to be wrong. Please just get on his level and sit with him. Turn the camera off. I will say a prayer.

You guys, he is FOUR. Take autism completely out of the equation for a second. Four-year-olds get into things. They make messes. They act on impulses. They explore things they absolutely shouldn’t because they’re FOUR and they don’t have the judgment of an adult yet. Yes, it’s frustrating. Yes, he needs boundaries and correction. But he also needs patience, redirection and someone willing to teach him, not constantly yell at him for not already knowing better. Curiosity at four isn’t defiance. It’s childhood.

This is a child who needs sleep and food or is sick. This child appears neglected. Speaking as an autism patient education specialist. And by this age a parent should have some idea of how to respond to him.

I have TWO autistic children. it's up to YOU to figure out a way to communicate with him. it is NOT his fault on his actions. You guys really need to find a way. I know it is hard, but my god, he should not be crying like this all the time. it takes A LOT OF PATIENCE. And honestly pointing a camera in his face recording him probably makes him feel awful. He can't express that, though.
