Bond market are the only adults in the room left. Everyone else, from Congress to the Administration to the Federal Reserve to the US Treasury are not doing their jobs.

there is a good reason why this is occurring. countries that were once wanting to take on us debt are pissed off. they've grown tired of his unstable style and wish to punish him in the only way they can. there's no way they can do anything. militarily so why not cut their ability to finance their military among other things. stop buying their debt. in doing so, you force the Americans to face the reality of cutting their budget. or taxing their constituents. neither one is going to be an easy pill for the USA to swallow, but they're not the only ones. there's other countries that are way too deep in debt. Canada be one of them. so if you can't express your displeasure as to how the orange guy is running things, you can stop buying USA treasury bonds and if he doesn't guess get the message then he's slower than I thought.

You forgot to mention that Trump literally ‘threatened’ the military against bond holders. I imagine that can’t be good for business 🙄🙄🙄

But we are getting a ballroom, a granite driveway, a helipad, gold guilding, a UFC fight, a parade, a fair, a car race, new grass, concrete rose garden … but I’m sure none of that plays into our debt or our reliability 🙄

You’re such a good teacher. And also I don’t want to hear that bit about mortgage rates following bond yields 😆 We want to sell/buy to get into a better home fit for our middle aged lifestyle but how can we trade 3% for north of 6%. Barf!

I am so grateful for your content. There is so much going on in economics across the board and I think a lot of the main stream media is afraid to cover the reality of it because it’s so counter to the information (ie propaganda) coming out of the White House.
