40 mammogram; 50 colonoscopy but I personally feel like so many have been diagnosed with both so young that they almost need to drop the age for screenings.

I got diagnosed at 43 my daughter will be taught self exams in her teens and will get mammo at 33 and I push for it

I had my mammogram last year and then I got the letter saying I had to become and do another mammogram, but the day before that happened I got a mother‘s worst nightmare, phone call. My mother called me to tell me that my son. Unlived himself. of course I didn’t wanna go, but I went back in for more deeper mammogram and that’s scary but mine came out just fine. The area they were looking at it was cysts

Mamograms are not invasive and not painful. Fear of knowing is poor thinking. If something is found, early detection is a life saver.

I got my first mammogram at 37 for the same reason. Then at age 46, I had breast cancer. I am ok now at 65, but get them annually still. Good on you for advocating for yourself!

Thank you. I’m a survivor of breast cancer. Was diagnosed at 52. But have had many concerning mammograms. Biopsy taken each time. Clips placed on certain things. That were of no concern

I got tested at a mobile mammogram van at 36 they said come back next year and I did and at 37 I had stage 2 breast cancer. I’m now cancer free over 20 years. I did gene 🧬 testing as well it was negative

I just went through a scare and I had to fight to get certain tests done for myself🥰 advocation is so important!! Thank the lord they were cysts. I may have the gene testing done

I’m 32, high risk. I’m lucky that I’ve already had one done for that reason. 🥺It’s on the dr’s who need to understand it can happen earlier.

That is excellent advice. I was adopted at a very young age, therefore I have no family health. Three years ago I was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. I carry the BRCA1 gene which is high risk breast cancer and high risk ovarian cancer. I am so thankful that my doctor ran the genetic testing, because she also tested my at the time 23 yr daughter. Thanks to the good Lord my daughter does not carry that gene. I’ve been in remission of ovarian cancer for almost 2 years. I also see a breast specialist surgeon. The gene I carry is the triple negative breast cancer. My doctors are amazing. They are staying on top of everything. I get a MRI once a year and a mammogram once year so basically every 6 months I get a one of the scans as well as well as seeing my doctors. I 💯 agree with you Becca. Every woman needs to find out about your health history and if you don’t know much or anything at all you really need to listen to Becca’s advice.
