Three kids. A five year old, a three year old, and a baby. Exercise bands around their necks. And the internet's first instinct is to ask how she's doing. Cora was five. She was old enough to understand what was happening to her. She watched her mother come for her. And thousands of women read that story and their first thought was "but the medication though". No. Stop. A woman wrapped exercise bands around a baby's neck. An eight month old. Callan couldn't crawl away. He couldn't say stop. He couldn't do anything. And the comment section says "this poor lady is very sick she needs psychiatric care". POOR LADY? The poor baby needed to not be strangled by his mother. And then, THEN, these same people turn around and attack the father. The man who walked into a house full of blood and dead children and called 911 begging his kids to breathe. That man. They're mad at THAT man. For what? For surviving? For not dying alongside them? For daring to find someone who loves him after the worst thing that can happen to a human being? He forgave her. He publicly defended her. He said she wasn't a monster. He raised money for her. And they're dragging him for remarrying. What was he supposed to do? Build a shrine and stop existing? He gave that woman more grace than any human being has ever earned and the public response is "how dare he move on." And they know, they KNOW, that if a man had done this, there would be no sympathy campaign. There would be no op eds about how the system failed him. There would be no comment sections saying his wife should have known. He'd be Timothy Jones. He'd be Chris Watts. He'd be a monster, sentenced in two hours, case closed. Nobody would write "this poor man is very sick". Nobody would blame the mother for going to the store. The double standard isn't subtle. It's not hidden. It's right there in plain text and they still can't see it because seeing it would break something they need to believe about themselves, that their empathy is universal, that their compassion is principled, that they care about victims. They don't care about victims. They care about women. The three actual victims in this story are children.

These kids were failed. I think their mother was failed by the medical and psychiatric field. There are pieces if this story that absolutely blow my mind, the med changes, allowing her out when she should have been kept. I am not blaming anyone, but if you have been told many times how she is feeling and what she is thinking, why would you leave her home alone with the kids, why would Dr's change meds as many times as they did? Thise meds take time to build up in your system. why did a dr not think to do a swab test to see what meds would work? So many questions that aren't being answered. I literally think this whole situation would have been avoided. I have other questions as well but this case should have never happened.

The thing that throws me off most is her body temp. There is no way in this life time that it is possible to drop that fast. I hope who ever did it gets punished to the full extent.

You can’t imagine what it’s like to be married to a narcissist and the links they will go to to destroy you and make themselves look like a saint. There are a lot of holes in Patrick story so yes, she said when she was probably unconscious in her head she probably was thinking or even meeting with her children’s souls telling them to go to Godlike I said you can’t imagine what a narcissist will do and how far they will go he could’ve fabricated it. He’s a tech guy.

All this women thinking his (Patrick) there bc he hates her but what you all don't want or can't see is that his trying till this day to get her the help she needs and yes he moved on but who are you all to say he doesn't hurt for her and the life they once had. He lost 3 children and his wife all at once. You people are full of hate and pass judgment for a man that you don't even know. May God forgive you bc he already forgave Lindsay. All this is leading to is where she'll spend the rest of her life.
