TVSS are such a interesting product. on one hand I have never seen anyone provide a good study that says they actually work, and like you said, more of them just fail and become actual fire hazards that actually work in the first place.

do they actually work, I install the disposable cheaper style and question if there going to protect my equipment. I work on wells and I got a field with vfd drives running wells and the utility company has been ignoring the power there for decades so power bumps is a monthly issue. like ill get random single phase fuse pops either on my end or at the transformer, so what im getting at is not a single surge protector popped yet. how do test or verified its working besides the manual stating all three green lights mean good, no lights equals bad which doesn't give confidence
