Years of abuse triggered mine. Also triggered lupus, eds, pots and mcas. Horrible honestly. I can barely eat and spend so much time in the hospital. I just wanna feel normal again.

Okay so I had 3 of these all within the span of 2022. No wonder I’m bed bound AHAHA. Covid, FLU A, Covid again, broke my thumb and had surgery, flu again, concussion that hospitalised me. All within 12 months. Add on a major stress period in July 2023 and yeah, I’m a bucket of fun.

That is really interesting. Could genetics also be a factor? Both my parents have it. I was bullied at school and had issues in secondary school. I also developed growing pains as a teenager but wasn’t diagnosed with fibromyalgia until I was a 31 which was also years after I was diagnosed with back problems and osteoarthritis as well as some traumatic deaths in the family.

I had mono as a child, lots of emotional trauma, 2 c-sections and covid-19 was the main thing that kicked it into full gear. I was told I had no pain tolerance my whole life until after I got Covid and kept dropping weights when lifting and being in pain constantly

Concussion, 2 years of high stress (partially because of the concussion), then COVID. Got celiac, fibro, and went from 165lbs in 2020 to 300lbs today.

Meningitis at 5, TBI in my early 20’s, anthrax vaccine, Epstein Barr, tons of mental/emotional abuse. And I’ve had Covid 8 times. Since the last time (about a year ago) I have gotten so much worse.

I was 10 years old and had a spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. I believe it is what initially triggered my fibro. I'm 43, now.
