@keriberry_boo: Replying to @Jacob Downs Having an EMT certification doesn’t make someone a psychiatrist, and personal experience with PPD OR PPP.... This is exactly the problem....taking a complex psychiatric illness and reducing it to “she should’ve taken her medication” or “the hormones were gone.” Mental illness doesn’t work that neatly. Psychosis can profoundly distort a person’s perception of reality, judgment, and behavior. And medication isn’t a guarantee that a psychiatric crisis can never happen. Nobody is saying the children didn’t matter. They mattered then and they matter now. They are matter MOST what happened shouldn't have happened PERIOD! But if we genuinely want to prevent another tragedy than we HAVE to be willing to understand what postpartum psychosis is instead of pretending every person experiencing it has the same level of awareness and control as someone who isn’t psychotic. And no asking those questions isn’t "defending a baby unaliver." It’s asking whether we are capable of holding grief, compassion, accountability, mental-health awareness, and justice in the same conversation. Because two things can be true at once. ❤️🩹 #PostpartumPsychosis #PostpartumMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #LindsayClancy #EndTheStigma

The amount of evidence that is stacked up none of it adds up to her . However using it to put blame on her . I’m going to put this here . Last time Pluto was in Aquarius was the Salem witch trials . We have learned our lesson we aren’t persecuting a woman for something she didn’t do : and not only that hormone rates are different from woman to woman and whether or not they were breast feeding which keeps the hormones in your system longer . Glad they are an emt , guess that also makes them an ob gyn. Guess that 150 hours adds up to the same schooling as an ob gyn who goes to school for 8 + years must put them on the same level .

Pretty sure PPD affects people for different amounts of time right? A friend of mine said she had it for nearly 3 years… maybe they can study it more and care more about our healthcare in general so we learn more 🥺

If i hear one more idiotic comment or another man crying about women absolving her of accountability I may scream. And the favorite of the comments I’ve seen are men saying I wonder if these women would have the same sympathy for a combat veteran if they did the same thing. Why is it when there’s any conversation about women’s health a man says what about me. Perhaps had she have had a supportive husband who advocated hard for her she wouldn’t have had to seek and suffer alone.

I’m so freaking sick of men- I swear I don’t feel “back to normal” until the baby turns 2-3yrs old. Men need to stfu on this topic! I didn’t start hating all men (besides my husband) until I had kids 🤣

Being an EMT takes 3-4 months of night classes, a practical test, and a written test on how to apply oxygen and bandage a wound…sit down and stay your lane EMT.
