Sooo interesting. Love this because I usually feel a lot less smart than my peers because this is so hard for me to do.

I’ve noticed doing crossword puzzles daily has really helped with me my word retrieval! Very cool, I had no idea this kind of coaching exists! Thanks for sharing!

I make commentary content and I used to yaaaaaaappp for so long without a script. Raw footage would be like 2hrs and I’d go insane editing and cutting all the unnecessary things. So when I film now, I have short notes for topics and I remind myself in the back of my head to get to the point or else I’ll be editing forever later. And it helped with vids and irl convos as well 🫡

SLP here!!! I target a lot of executive function and pragmatic/social skills similar to the exercise you’re sharing in this video in therapy sessions. Let me know if you’d like additional resources 😊

I didn't even consider having a coach for this. I spend way too much time sharing EVERY detail and learning very late in life 1. No one cares, and 2. It's not LYING if you don't include EVERY detail. Hard communication behavior to change.

I think reading books more consistently helps so much, even if it’s in an indirect way (certainly is direct too)…increased attention span, increased ability to hold and maintain awareness of complex/multiple/varied structures and storylines at once

This is why I HATED essays in school. Specifically the part where we had to break it up & just write the hook, the intro, the transitions into the body paragraphs, etc. When that spanned days/weeks it KILLED me. I had to write the entire thing first, then go back & just edit those sections

The brand of adhd I have is that I get irritated/impatient when people are rambling or latching on to things that don’t matter in the moment/to the audience. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me and I wish I could be more chilllllllllll
