@b_7three: Aircraft carbon brakes - introduced in the mid 80s, standard by early 90s. They're lighter, better at absorbing thermal energy, last longer and more consistent in application. **I refer to them as carbon fibre in the vid. Whilst not entirely wrong, a better description is Carbon Composite - a reinforced version of carbon fibre (more accurate). #engineering #boeing #airline
