Someone mentioned shimmer hollow magnet spinner and I agree, I’ve watched @Solo's not buying it trying it out and it’s AMAZING

it might just be that you are using regular polish and the other people are using gel polish

babe i’m sorry but it is in fact user error.. it definitely takes a minute to get the hang of it, but if you’re using normal polish instead of gel you need a THICKKKK layer. like. way thicker than you would ever normally do. i usually do one thin slip coat, and then a thick coat using the magnet. and then you need to magnet again when you top coat!!! trust

I bought a 3d printer magnetic spinner off Etsy and it works well with Mooncat magnetic polishes. I haven’t tried holo taco yet, but hear great things.

The one from 5D print factory works great! Multiple levels to get different effects, strong magnet, fairly user friendly

So... if that's Menchie Cat Eye it's the polish, not you. HT magnetics have gotten better every time but they still aren't the easiest to magnetize so effects more complicated than the standard cat eye or horseshoe don't usually work very well.

I was feeling particularly broke and broke one of my free magnets off, glued it to a screw head, then put the screw in a drill and used a zip tie to hold the trigger of the drill. It worked but it was very silly.

I have the exact same tool. Didn’t work for me either so I did it manually with the magnet that it came with and it was a lot better. I think the magnets are too far away from the nail

I thought that one was only for Gel polishes. I was interested in it too but the site states it's only for gel.

looks like the way it's made doesnt put the magnet over you nail, it just looks like it's trying to magnetize your fingers😅😅

how thick are your layers? how long are you leaving it on the magnet/spinning? are you magnetizing each coat, including the top coat?

There’s no contrast because it’s pulling from 360 degrees. It just pulls it up all over.

I tried this and moderate success, I saw a video that said to spin the magnet slower 30 times… it worked pretty okay 😁
