@empty.glances: There’s always that random moment where nothing particularly romantic is even happening. You’re not on some beautiful vacation, celebrating an anniversary, or having a deep conversation about how much you love each other. You’re probably laughing at something completely ridiculous that wouldn’t even be funny to anybody else. Then for half a second you stop and actually look at them, and it hits you: “Wow. That’s my person.” 😭 Like out of billions of people somehow I found this one human being whose laugh I know by heart, whose face I can read from across a room, who knows the weirdest parts of me and somehow decided, “Yeah, I want this one.” And suddenly all these tiny memories hit you at once. The late-night conversations, the difficult days they helped you through, the stupid inside jokes, the quiet drives, the arguments you learned from, the mornings you woke up beside each other, and all those completely ordinary moments that slowly turned a stranger into home. That’s the part of love that’s difficult to explain to anyone outside of it. You can list everything you adore about someone, but somehow the list never fully captures what their existence has become to you. They’re your partner, but they’re also your best friend, your comfort, the person you want to tell everything to, and somehow still the person who can make you laugh until you can’t breathe. And maybe that’s when love feels the most real—not during the huge declarations, but during some completely meaningless Tuesday night when you’re both being idiots, you catch yourself looking at them for a second too long, and quietly think, “How did I get so lucky that I get to do life with you?”
