@frostscience: And that's a wrap on our Digging Expeditions! ⛏️ This summer, eight incredible participants joined our Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology, Dr. Cary Woodruff, in Montana for a rare opportunity to experience paleontology firsthand in the field. Participants worked alongside our paleontology team using the same tools and techniques as professionals to locate and carefully excavate dinosaur fossils. From learning how to identify fossils in the field to uncovering and preparing them for preservation, participants got a firsthand look at what it takes to bring fossils out of the ground and contribute to real scientific research. A huge thank you to our team for making these expeditions possible, and to every participant who showed up ready to dig, learn and get a little muddy. 👏 Want the full story?
