@darewithdrea: One of the hardest parts about survival mode is that you can still look completely functional while you’re in it. You wake up already tired. Not because you didn’t sleep long enough… but because your body never fully relaxed. Your nervous system is “on” before your feet even hit the floor. You immediately start thinking about everything you need to do, and you’re filled with immense dread. To be awake. To have to start going. You spend the day functioning: replying to messages getting work done handling responsibilities while internally feeling overwhelmed the entire time. You don’t fully relax during breaks. You scroll. Distract yourself. Keep background noise on. Because slowing down feels uncomfortable. Small things start feeling bigger than they should. You get overstimulated easily. Irritated easily. Emotionally exhausted easily. By the end of the day… you feel completely drained but your mind still won’t shut off. And eventually this becomes so normal… you stop realizing how much pressure your body is under. That’s what survival mode does. It keeps you functioning… without ever fully letting you feel safe. If this felt a little too accurate, my reset was built for exactly this: The exact steps to take to add a little bit of rest in, a few minutes at a time, without the pressure of sitting still. Comment “RESET” for the info.
