@streetcrimeuk: VICKRUM DIGWA: THE MURDER OF 18-YEAR-OLD HENRY NOWAK University student Henry Nowak, 18, was stabbed five times by Vickrum Digwa during a chance encounter on a Southampton street in December 2025. Digwa was carrying a large bladed weapon and was captured on Henry’s phone saying “I am a bad man” shortly before the fatal attack. But what happened when police arrived would make the case even more controversial. Digwa falsely claimed Henry had racially abused and attacked him. Officers initially handcuffed the mortally wounded teenager despite Henry telling them he had been stabbed and couldn’t breathe. Henry later died from his injuries. Digwa was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 21 years. His mother, Kiran Kaur, was later jailed for three years after being convicted of assisting an offender by removing the murder weapon from the scene. (Courts and Tribunals Judiciary) The police response is the subject of a separate watchdog investigation. (ITVX) #StreetCrimeUK #VickrumDigwa #HenryNowak #UKCrime #CrimeNews
