@jfradioshow: #economy #bonds #debt #trumpadministration #fyp Big economic trouble is on the horizon if the federal government doesn’t do something to reduce our $40 trillion debt. Buyers demanding higher yields are making it difficult to finance. Massive bond supply, inflation, and foreign pullbacks are creating a toxic mix, pushing interest payments toward $1 trillion a year and raising rates on mortgages and business loans. Washington must cut the debt now before the bond vigilantes force an even uglier reckoning.
Of course foreign investors are pulling back, the US looks like it is on fire and the word of the government leadership is worth nothing making these investments more risky.

Trump alone after 6 years has added $11.6 trillion, that's nearly 30% of the entire $40 trillion deficit!!! and we've 2 years left to go 😅

When the economy and stock market collapses… interest rates will be back at one or 2%… I would not take long duration risk… I would not buy bond funds… Own individual US treasuries… And keep your duration between two and five years, with ten percent at 7 years

Higher bond yields will lead to credit rationing as loanable funds become a scarce resource. Treasury should decrease taxes and cut Fed spending & put more money in the hands of consumers.
