Yes and don’t google your banks phone number because they can be fraudulent numbers. That happened to me… almost got scammed because I called the number Google pulled up and it was linked to more scammers —- scary world we live in

This happened to me too, they asked for my social security number... I cussed them out and hung up. Never before when fraud called they asked. I knew it was a scam

The same thing happened to me! Same scenario. However, I have had legitimate bank texts about charges but one case in particular was fraud. I always call the bank to verify.

I never answer any text message from the bank. I call the bank directly with a phone number I already have, not the phone number provided by email or text.
